Today’s session was 10K with a pace boat set to 2:14.0/500m. I rowed the first 5K half matching the pace boat the entire distance. The last 5K half I matched the pace boat until the final 500 meters, then increased the pace enough, for long enough to bring overall average pace down to 2:13.8.
This is my unscientific way of conditioning for whenever is the next attempt at 10K season best.
