RowPro Rowers

If you have a Concept 2 rowing machine and use the RowPro software then that makes you more than welcome to join the virtual club called RowPro Rowers.  To join it, edit your logbook profile on concept2.com and choose RowPro Rowers as your affiliation. If you are looking for more inspiration for your indoor rowing experience, you will be happy you did so.

If you are wondering what will happen as a result of you having joined the RowPro Rowers by doing that tiny bit of editing to your concept2.com logbook profile, the answer is: nothing.  More or less.  You will receive an email once a month or slightly more often from the wife of the RowPro software chief programmer.  That email is a nice one and it tells you about current inspirational challenges and such things relating to indoor rowing.  Also, by joining RowPro Rowers, you will be automatically contributing whatever meters you row (and also log in your online logbook) to the total meters rowed by all RowPro Rowers, thus enhancing the club’s overall standing in that respect.  By enhancing the club’s overall standing, you might inspire a few more people to try RowPro software.  And if some of those people you thus inspire become online rowers, then you will have more company when and if you do any online rowing, which is fun.  So… by joining RowPro Rowers, you increase the probability and possibility of having more fun rowing online.  It’s a win-win proposition kind of thing.

Below is a real-time view of the RowPro Rowers virtual club standings. [NOTE: At the moment, the real-time view isn’t working.  When it is repaired, it will be visible below] To see people’s profiles and more, you need to login to your logbook at concept2.com.  I try to row enough average daily meters so as to be somewhere near the top of the RowPro Rowers listing, which is a healthy 10,000+ meters per day average.

The list is maintained by Concept2, which provided the HTML code to display it on anyone’s website. Some things inside the RowPro Rowers listing (such as user profiles) and elswhere on the Concept2 website can only be viewed if you are logged in to a free logbook account, so its VERY worthwhile for you to sign up with a logbook account even if you don’t yet row… just so you can check out EVERYTHING.
