Rock And Row

After today’s indoor rowing session was done and I touched the Apple Watch to have it stop logging the rowing workout, one of my Activity friends for that watch app sent the encouraging message, “You rock!” (The Apple Watch app gives you the option to reply each time it notifies you that one of your activity friends has completed some kind of workout.  It has a varying selection of pre-formatted responses that you can opt from to send to that friend also.)

I don’t always respond back, because they don’t expect it for most of them, but this time I responded back with my pun for the day of “Rock and row.” A while later, she took a few more moments from her busy day and responded to my pun with “Ha ha” which I thought was nice also, since my puns usually only get groans in response.

Today’s session was 5,344 meters in 16 splits.  A screen recording for rowing-along is on YouTube at: Indoor Rowing 321 Calories 08132018

Happy rowing to you.

Smooth Fun, But Short Fun

Today’s session was 2751 meters, chosen to match the meters rowed yesterday by training partner DN.  The session was limited to no more than those meters because of time constraints.  It was fun, because the heart behaved smoothly, unlike its behavior yesterday.

Easy But Not Fun Like It Usually Is

Today’s indoor rowing session was an easy-paced 12,742 meters.  It wasn’t fun, because my heart was acting up and wouldn’t settle down during the ENTIRE rowing session.  So that wasn’t fun.  I don’t know what set it off, but it seems okay now.

A row-along screen recording was made of the session and is available at this link: Indoor Rowing 715 Calories 08062018

Happy rowing to you.

Again, Between 7 & 8 Thousand Meters

Today’s indoor rowing session was like yesterday’s.  Which is to say that to get the distance goal I added the most recent daily meters rowed by training partner DN to 5K and that resulted in a goal of 7,832 meters. She rowed a few more meters than her previous session, so I burned 9 more calories than my previous session with those additional meters.

A screen recording will be at this link (in a couple hours or so after this is posted to the blog): Indoor Rowing 456 Calories 08052018

Happy rowing to you.
