An Abundant 4260 Meters

Today’s rowing distance was chosen to match exactly the total distance rowed on June 28th by one of my training partners, “FR”.  There were many possibilities for equal splits of the number 4,260, so I chose to split it into 20 equal splits.  (According to number theory terminology, the integer 4260 is an “abundant” number because it has so many possible divisors and because the sum of all of its divisors is larger than the number itself.)

A screen recording of the session is at: Indoor Rowing 4260 meters 07012018

Happy rowing to you.

9201 Was The One

Today’s distance for a rowing workout was chosen to match the total distance rowed on June 25th by one of my training partners, “FR”.

There are many different ways the “training partner” feature in the Concept 2 online logbook could be used, but I keep it simple and lately have just been using it for helping me to choose a daily distance to row.

If you’d like to be a training partner, just click to send me a training partner request, from within your Concept 2 online logbook.

Screen recording for those of you who’d like to “row-along” is at this link: Indoor Rowing 9201 meters 06292018

I closed the screen recording session before wishing viewers “happy rowing to you” but be assured that I always hope and wish for you to have happy rowing, whether I remember to say so or not. 🙂

Happy rowing to you.

A Summation Of Distances

Today’s distance was chosen to match the total distance of June 23rd sessions done by two training partners, FR and DN.

There was no separate warmup.  The session started out very easy, then the pace picked up a bit for the rest of the session until the distance counted down to about 2,000 meters.  When there were about 2,000 meters remaining, the pace slowed a bit, to serve as a warm down.

A screen recording will be available at: Indoor Rowing 7095 meters 06252018

Happy rowing to you.

Heart Rate Zero

If you want to see the flat – line heart rate graph, you’ll have to scroll down the the RowPro session report graph because the finish screen is simply blank in the heart rate area when no heart strap is used.

Actually, heart rate was a bit more than zero today but RowPro 5 for the Mac plotted the heart rate graph as a flat line at the zero level, because I didn’t use the heart strap today.

Also, there was no screen recording made of today’s rowing session.

Session report for today’s zero heart rate session.
RowPro 5 for the Mac is happy to display a flat line for heart rate if no heart strap is used.
The Concept 2 online logbook chart doesn’t display anything for heart rate if there is no heart rate data. This seems to be a more correct approach, in my opinion. But it’s of zero consequence either way (pun intended).

Happy rowing to you.
