At the moment, I’m in the “problem solving behavior” part of the process.

WARM-UP

An alternate title for today’s rowing could be An Insufficient Warmup.

An alternate – alternate title for today’s post could be Pain Is A Party Pooper…

Today’s session was supposed to be a set of four 1,000 meter intervals but before finishing the second 1K, I experienced a lower back pain and had to slow down to accommodate it. I got off the erg and walked around a bit.  When I sat down again to do the 5 minute active rest portion, the pain returned, so I called a halt to the rowing for today and took a couple valerian tablets which are supposed to be good as muscle relaxants.

Perhaps I should warm up longer, when the house is cold.

The rowing started off with a 3K warm up but I guess that wasn’t enough.

Here’s the stuff for today’s training session:

A-Jan-1st-warmup-finish
Finish screen for the insufficient warm up
A-Jan-1st-warmup-rpt
insufficient warmup report
A-Jan-1st-warmup-chrt
insufficient warmup charts

A-Jan-1st-interrupted-by-pain-
Not exactly a finish screen but this is as far as I got before the pain interruption made it pointless to continue.
A-Jan-1st-interrupted-by-pain-rpt
4x1K report which shows result for only 25% of the session which was done correctly (the first 1K and its following 5 minute rest). The second 1K slowed down immediately as soon as back pain joined the party. Pain is a party pooper.
A-Jan-1st-interrupted-by-pain-chart
Chart of 4x1K which was terminated early.

Happy trails to you.
