Easy But Not Fun Like It Usually Is

Today’s indoor rowing session was an easy-paced 12,742 meters.  It wasn’t fun, because my heart was acting up and wouldn’t settle down during the ENTIRE rowing session.  So that wasn’t fun.  I don’t know what set it off, but it seems okay now.

A row-along screen recording was made of the session and is available at this link: Indoor Rowing 715 Calories 08062018

Happy rowing to you.

Again, Between 7 & 8 Thousand Meters

Today’s indoor rowing session was like yesterday’s.  Which is to say that to get the distance goal I added the most recent daily meters rowed by training partner DN to 5K and that resulted in a goal of 7,832 meters. She rowed a few more meters than her previous session, so I burned 9 more calories than my previous session with those additional meters.

A screen recording will be at this link (in a couple hours or so after this is posted to the blog): Indoor Rowing 456 Calories 08052018

Happy rowing to you.

A Couple Short Ones

Finish screen for the 2536 meter piece.
Finish screen for the 500 meter piece.

Today’s rowing was a couple of short ones.  First there was a 2536 meter piece, followed by a 500 meter piece.  There was a little bit more in addition to those two, but it’s not worth mentioning.

The distance 2,536 was chosen so as to match the distance rowed yesterday  by a training partner, DN.  The 500 meter piece was done at a little bit faster pace than easy, so I guess it was “medium” and afterwards I ranked it among the Concept 2 rankings.

Because Of Early Sunshine

Today I managed to do some rowing.  Instead of avoiding it.  And Managed to do it fairly early in the morning.  That was an accomplishment, because I’ve been having trouble with inertia lately.  Inertia, “a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged, as “the bureaucratic inertia of government” to use one common definition.

Because I had to go outside early this morning, to take care of some pack rat traps placed outside yesterday evening in the hopes of capturing a rat which had been targeting our car’s engine compartment as a place for its residence…. I was exposed to the super bright sunshine which is common in Arizona.

The rat was dealt with and I was “lit up” enough by the sunlight, to do some rowing.

The session was a preset distance of 6,818 meters.  The distance was chosen by adding of the most recent three rowing sessions done by training partner DN.

A screen recording was made and it is here: Indoor Rowing about 30 minutes 08012018

Happy rowing to you.
